As of May 1, 2022, HAI Group Online Training is moving to a pay-per-seat pricing model for subscribers. Our previous pricing model was based on agency size, which no longer effectively met our customers’ needs. Furthermore, the cost of producing, managing, and maintaining online content has risen since the last subscription price increase in 2015. We hope the list below answers your questions about this new pricing model, but, as always, please don’t hesitate to contact us if we can provide further assistance.

1.) Why is the price of my HAI Group Online Training subscription changing?

The previous pricing model was based on the number of units your housing agency managed, which was unnecessarily complicated for our customers and not as accurate an indication of actual usage as the new per-seat model.

10.) What if I pay for users who never start a course? Can I get a refund or credit?

No refunds or credits will be issued for unused access. Each tier is intended to be a maximum number of users in an organization. There is no minimum number of users or usage required.

2.) What determines my subscription rate?

Subscription rates are based on the number of users you plan to provide access to within your annual renewal term. You choose which subscription level meets your needs, or you can select an individual subscription at $500 per user for up to four users.

Option Number of Users Annual Price
1 5-24 $2,500
2 25-99 $3,500
3 100+ $5,500
3.) When does the new subscription pricing go into effect?

This new subscription pricing will go into effect on May 1, 2022.

4.) Do I get anything new with the price change?

These price changes will allow us to continue producing and maintaining high-quality content delivered to you through an updated, easy-to-use interface.

5.) Can I change my tier at any time?

If you wish to move up a subscription level, you can do so at any time during your current subscription cycle. The cost would be prorated based on the higher tier price for the remainder of the annual term, and a balance would be due for the difference. If you choose to drop a subscription level, you can do so at any time during the current subscription cycle, and a credit will be issued to you for the prorated difference.

6.) If I drop to a lower subscription level, will some of my employees lose access to the subscription?

Yes, if the total number of employees who need a user profile exceeds the number of users you paid for. To avoid this, be sure to maintain an accurate and updated list of active users in the system. For assistance with maintaining your active user account, contact our support team at onlinetraining@housingcenter.com.

7.) Since the new subscription model is based on total users, can large organizations buy a subscription for fewer people than they employ (only anticipated users)?

Yes. Each organization can purchase the subscription level that suits its current needs.

8.) Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

Since the annual renewal is prepaid for one year, you may cancel at the next annual renewal date. Your organization will receive a reminder email two months before your subscription is up for renewal.

9.) What if I go over my allotted number of users during the year?

An annual review will ensure each organization is within its proper usage limits. Organizations that are over their limit will be asked if they wish to upgrade their subscription level at the time of renewal. It is important to maintain an accurate and updated list of active users. For assistance with maintaining your active user account, contact our support team at onlinetraining@housingcenter.com.

Q: Can I purchase access for users without going up in the pricing tier?

No, subscription pricing is based on the number of users eligible to access the system.

Q: Can the dividend still be applied to the cost of a subscription under the new model for those who are eligible?

Yes, those eligible for dividends can still opt to pay for their subscription using dividend funds.

Q: What happens if there is a high staff turnover and I have already used my allocated user licenses in a calendar year but still maintain the same total number of users?

The organization will need to upgrade to a higher tier. If you wish to move up a subscription level, it can be done at any time during the current subscription cycle. The cost would be prorated based on the higher tier price for the remainder of the annual term, and a balance would be due for the difference. However, it is important to maintain an accurate and updated list of active users to avoid being charged for seats you don’t use.
