HAI Group understands the importance of educational investments, especially to help lift families out of poverty. In 2005, an initiative was led by HAI Group’s Board Members to give back to the community, specifically, to residents in housing. Since then, HAI Group has awarded more than $1,100,000 in scholarships to over 400 public and affordable housing residents.
This year, twenty scholarship winners were once again selected, and each will receive $6,000 to use towards their upcoming 2018 fall semester. To view the list of winners, please click here.
Our program has been a success in helping students achieve their education goals. As shared by one of the program’s recipients, “My goal, since I was a kid, was to be the first person in my family to graduate from a 4-year institution, and I am a few months away from achieving that goal. Education is so important to me because of my parents. They came to the United States before I was born in order to let me have more opportunities in life. I want to make them proud by graduating and having a full-time job after college.”
